Ways to preserve your hair

.....questions questions questions as I walk down the street. We love your hair!!! How do you do it? What hair products do you use? How is it so shiny? You have got to love your hair and love yourself. Ive been natural for four year now. I DO NOT feel the urge for those shiny perms again (UGHH!!!!) *Quiet your scaring the follicles saying that word* After my first year of frustration, I can to a solution! JFDI! I found an awesome hairstylist, and man she is amazing. I got all my friends and friends friends going to her now. EVen the ones converting back to their natural ways love her. Check her out at Taste of "Brown Sugar" Natural Hair page on Facebook. You will see the wonders she does. I currently use Mazani, but I've been using this product such I converted. I could use other products, but I just love how this product makes my hair feel and smell. It can't keep the men away. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Taste-of-Brown-Sugar-Natural-hair-care/126794500741525

I love the fact that my hair feels much more healthier than ever. It feels like a giant fluff ball. Great websites to go on to get awesome hair dos:  www.curlynikki.com and www.naturallycurly.com My two favorite websites. I've heard that unclefunkysdaughter and garner products are great for natural hair. Personally I stick to Mazani.

So heres what it boils down to: What are you really doing? I love to eat. However, I am the most health conscious.  You are what you eat. Basically, it is all about your lifestyle. What you are putting into your body really matters. When I was totally stressed out way back when is when my hair was the product of my stress. You have to be into the whole movement, or else your hair will be the product of your lifestyle. I love my life, and I love my health. People say you are skinny!!!! I smile. I am not skinny by choice. Ive always been the kind of person that does not like soda or artificial things. These things matter.

Tranquility

Today I finally finished Ghandi today. Now I am getting the book where he wrote his philosophies. The weirdest thing is that I have always admired this man, but never realized that I was following his teaching till today when he said Ashram. Ashram is the society of tranquility and peace. Where there is no violence and you meditate. Well Kashi follows this creed. So I decided to devote myself to this culture. So I am not conforming to any religion, but I simply found a lifestyle that fits me. It is weird how things in life come out later and make sense of what you are already doing, but was not aware of. So I cut off a lot a negativity and I am focusing on myself. I want to explore more of this ashram culture. We all need peace. I am glad that I found it. When you have peace, you learn how love yourself, learn how to be around nothing but pure tranquility, and it is like you ignore the rest of the world and only see good. This is what Ghandi wanted to the world and for India. However, just like every great leader who is for peace he is killed. Just like the Princess in Pakistan or Mohandas. I guess the world loves complications instead of simplicity. If I could I would devote myself into only leaving in areas that follow ashram, but it is hard when we live in such a society where everything is so vast and far. However that does not mean that you cannot create your own world.

Ashram

So April will make officially a year that i have been doing yoga. Man that has been the most motivational, inspirational, and revitalizing thing i have done yet. This is what i talk about the most with my good friend Jeziah. We are like the biggest yoga geeks. So the about three weeks ago Jen from DRCC gave everyone 50% discount card which is good for about a year to this place called Bikram yoga. I have heard of this place before. So i finally just checked out the website and prices seem fair. Also i went on youtube to see what is was all about and it is just as i was told. They called it fire yoga. Yes crazy as it sounds. My friend Jeziah and I were talking about thee different types of yoga and he told me about this one especially. We have had several debates about this one. I told him that when my membership was up at Kashi that i was going to try a different stroke. I think that i may have just found it. This type of yoga was found by Bikrham himself. He is one on the big time swamis in India. His focus is all about the intense control of your mind and body by doing intense breathing exercises and intense standing poses. Youtube says that most Bikram yoga places decrease the temperature to about 35 degree Celsius. WOW! just to keep a homeostasis of the body. I was looking at the video and man everyone was breaking intense sweats. This will differently be a challenge for me. I am looking forward to it. Most people think that yoga is all about flexibility. When it is not. Yoga is all about the mind and clearing any negative energy from your space. That is why it is recommended to close your close your eyes while doing yoga. Ever since i have done it, i have become more happier and eager for more. The reason why i started yoga in the first place is because i was very sick at one point in my life which totally killed my spirit, so i needed to find some medium again. Yoga saved me.

When someone gives you a gift that you can cherish for a lifetime but can't explain to others

When someone gives you a gift that you cannot explain to anyone but you know that it a gift that you will never remember. It is like the day you were born and how god gave you the gift of life. It is similar, but the two cannot compare. I recently got something that I needed in my time in life and I got it from the right person. It is something that I had been seeking for but did not know exactly what it was or how I was going to get it. It is amazing how things in your life fall to proportion at times when we are dire need. We all go on our soul searching mission, but you never know when god has a plan for you succeed or discover you. I recently got the gift to be inevitable. It is something I cannot explain, but it something that I feel. At first I thought that I was coming off as arrogant to others, but it just confidence. This is something I had been searching for years and it is the greatest feeling ever. Now that I have learned this art it something that I hold dear and cherish. I have always doubted myself which has always made me incapable of making decisions and now everything just seems so natural. However, the world seems so small to me. I am trying my best explain this feeling, but I cannot truly express what it is. You have to get it to understand. But I am happy to say that I have finally found what I truly needed and now I can actually put a name to it.
